In the summer of 2009, I journeyed through America with Joseph Hurd. There are abstractions and patterns rendered. We visited the Navajo reservation in Chinle, Arizona. There are pictures of signs that Native Americans rendered in a series I call “Skywalkers” as well as paintings dealing with the landscape.

Here, there are renditions taken on from the Oregon Country Fair in 2011 and 2012. There are colorful images of people as well as a psychedelic dimensions too. In viewing these images, I hope you feel like you are at the event. On the way back to New York City in 2011, I visited the Calgary Stampede, in Canada.

India Travel 2011
This is my second visit to India. It encompasses the Holi Festival, street life throughout the country, traditional dance, and abstractions of places including the Taj Mahal and scenic visions of the Ganges on a boat while visiting Varanasi.

China Travel 2009
Traveling with companion Juliana Ferris, this is a phenomenal journey through China that shows how much the country has changes in just a few decades. The people are very friendly. Included are images of traditional dance and their version of Opera. Many images have “Pop Art” characterizations with captions.

Mexico Travel 2010
I traveled to Mexico in 2010 with friend Mimi Tasevska on a photographic workshop that veteran photographer Harvey Stein directed. There is a contrast of urban and rural settings documented. I enjoyed a traditional native dance as well as a religious festival which is in virtue an authentic Christian expression of faith. In a small area of space, there is deep roots of different points of view.

On second workshop with Harvey Stein, there are colorful displays of the Christian faith with masks and beautiful fabrics. We also visited a wool factory, which seemed like a time capsule of the mid-twentieth century.

In a short period of time, I documented the urban oasis of Las Vegas, Nevada, whether signs, people, ligh fixtures, etc.

Burma – Myanmar 2005
On a visit to Burma in 2005 with college advisor Ba Win, I found these people extremely friendly and curious. I used traditional film, and the results were revealing. I hope to return again.

I lived for a month with my mother in a beautiful apartment in a prime location in Paris, accessible to traditional cafes and walking distance to the Louvre. Especially memorable is walking the streets of Paris and taking portraits of authentic Parisians. I continued in the summer of 2010, and journeyed on my own throughout Europe.
